Popcornopolis – Gluten Free & All Natural
It is rare that I find my self at Staples Center or at a concert. But when I am there I am looking for something more than a hot dog or nachos. We did eat dinner at home in preparation for the bad food options. But wanted a little something sweet to accompany the glorious sounds of John Legend and Sade the other night. I was preparing myself for disappointment … I mean what could possible be available that I’d even want?! Then I saw a halo of light surrounding a cone of all-natural goodness and I knew it had to be better than a box or bag of High Fructose Corn Syrup candy. oh & I’m a sucker for caramel corn. As I’m walking away reading the cute little cone, I see that it is Gluten, MSG AND Trans Fat FREE!!! Now I was salivating waiting to find our seats and open this cone up to see if goodness was in store for me. As I tore open the bag it smelled sweet and the first taste was indeed glorious … great caramel flavor, fully coated pieces, crunchy not soft, with a smooth buttery note as well. The only thing that could have improved this treat for me … some crunchy/salty nut accompanying it But all in all, I’m extremely happy with the Gluten Free, MSG Free, all-natural, locally-made snack I found inside Staples Center. I mean really, how could I ask for a better alternative to the traditional items I see at a concert? Kudos popcornopolis for the great GF line of treats and Kudos to Staples Center for knowing that many of us in town care about what we consume when we are there for fun.
