For most of us Los Angeles parents, The Aquarium of the Pacific has been an iconic place where we have shared special times with our kids, family and friends. It is a place where we spent many special summer days exploring the ocean life and learning about creatures we did not know existed. My daughter is now six and although she does not see the aquarium as she did when she was three, we recently had the opportunity to see a different side of the aquarium — that we did not know was there! Have you ever been whale watching with the Aquarium and the Harbor Cruises? So a few months ago, we received an invitation to tour the ocean in search of some whales! We enjoy a 2 to 2.5 hour voyage out in the open Pacific in ocean. A very exciting time for us, no doubt! We saw some amazing whales and learned about krill. The boat ride was very comfy, the staff was very well educated on the topic, and as a perk, we even got to see some dolphins. It is something that every kid should experience at least once in their lives.
